In Oakland Ca. Bay Area actors are underrepresented and over-looked regarding consistent casting. This must change! Our stories must be heard! I aim to prove, "You Do Not Have To Move Away to Hollywood" to make it in this business.
To produce platforms that change the way multicultural cinema is portrayed universally.
To motivate, teach, and inspire with the positive, relatable images lacking in today's multimedia

Monique Dismuke, Actress,Writer,Producer, Director
Films are magical. Movies have the ability to transend race, color, creed, and social class. Like music it is an outlet to discover who or what we can be. I believe art imitates life, and life imitates art. If I can provoke thought thru my art, that will promote conversations that support change, then I've done my job.
Monique Dismuke, an American screenwriter, actor, producer, director, and the Co- chapter leader of the SF Film Fatales, a group of all-female directors.
While pursuing a solid background in journalism at Laney college, she interned for the local news station Channel 2, but soon realized news journalism wasn't for her. She went on to freelance for several urban Bay Area magazines (Showcase, St Low, Chocolate City) working in their music/entertainment departments. Her first big-screen breakthrough was an appearance in Fruitvale Station, the movie that chronicles Oscar Grant's last days leading up to his killing on New Years. While pursuing an acting career Monique soon decided that writing and producing independent projects is the only way to breakthrough with a voice in the industry.
Monique has a prolific magical touch and when given the opportunity her abilities will far surpass everyone's expectations while turning humdrum feature films, and tv programs into interesting pieces with solid ratings. So after watching your next sitcom/movie take notice of the credits for Monique Dismuke´s name. The industry's next up and coming actress, screenwriter, producer, and director who aims to captivate audiences through the vigor and sheer beauty of her creative endeavors.
